Who we are
Valencians UK is a non-governmental organization and registered UK charity that works to promote the Valencian language and culture in the United Kingdom, as well as to strengthen cultural ties with all its nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Thereafter , theCEVEX serves to guide and support Valencian newcomers to the United Kingdom.
Officially recognized as CEVEX (valenian centres aborad) in March 2020, Valencians UK has existed since June 2018. Since its creation, it has worked to promote Valencian culture and its external projection. Therefore, we have participated in activities such as the presentation of the agreement between the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Generalitat Valenciana, in November 2018, concerts in Valencian in London, such as the one we organized in June 2018 with Pau Alabajos, guided tours free at the Centenar de la Ploma (V&A museum) in both English and Valencian during the years 2018 and 2019, visits to the exhibition Festes Estellés and popular Valencian celebrations in London.
During the lockdown periods, we have continue to innovate by creating cohesive content/events among the Valencian community in the United Kingdom and we have started a round of confined talks open to everyone with significant people from Valencian and Anglo-Saxon culture.
Our board is upholds gender parity and we work to ensure we promote inclusiveness, equality and diversity in all our activities.
