Pau Alabajos presents his eighth record project, Les horas mortes (RGB Suports, 2020), a reference to one of the three poems in the book Estimada Marta, by Miquel Martí i Pol, which he has set to music in this new adventure. It is not the only literary adaptation that appears in this album: there is also a music of the manifesto in verse Vuit de Març, by Maria Mercè Marçal (with the special collaboration of the artists Gemma Humet, Meritxell Gené and Marta Rius, who they put their voice on the recording) and the poem No passareu, by Apel·les Mestres, an anti-militarist poem from 1917 that has become an anti-fascist anthem. Beyond the literary adaptations, the album is completed with a handful of love and war songs, unreleased songs written and composed entirely by Pau Alabajos: visceral lyrics and incisive melodies with a luxurious instrumental trim.
